WORKSHOP: Floral Design with Jamie 

DATE: February 2, 2023

COST: $75, includes instruction + all floral materials and vase
LOCATION: The Gardener’s Center

Jaime will give guided instruction and tips for how to create a basic floral arrangement. After this class you’ll feel confident in how to make a simple table centerpiece for entertaining or a handmade gift for a friend! We’ll sip some coffee and play with beautiful flowers together. Then, take home your own creation to enjoy!

Tools will be provided, although you certainly can bring your own if you choose.

SEMINAR: Seed Starting with Sean

DATE: February 18, 2023 TIME: 10:00am – 11:00am COST: Free LOCATION: The Gardener’s Center Starting plants indoors from seed is an economical and rewarding way to ensure that you have plenty of fresh veggie, herb and flower seedlings for your spring gardens. Seed starting comes with some challenges and people often give up. Sean is here to get you going in the right direction! TOPICS COVERED:
  • Identify and discuss the 3 most common mistakes that are made when starting seeds indoors.
  • Learn how to decipher seed packet instructions. (They can be confusing!)
  • Sean’s thoughts on some of the best varieties of veggies, herbs and flowers to start at home from seed for success!

Chamber Jam 2022 was a big success! 

The Gardener’s Center was proud to partner with the Darien Chamber of Commerce and other local businesses to bring our community together in celebration of our wonderful town. Headlining musical guest, The Spadtastics and opening band, Waller, provided live music throughout the evening. Proceeds from Chamber Jam benefited the Chamber Charitable Foundation initiatives, including their Scholarship and Holiday Lights programs.
