Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca)
Common Milkweed is a bold, fragrant native perennial producing large, rounded clusters of soft pink flowers above broad, lush foliage. A must-have for pollinator gardens, it serves as a critical host plant for monarch butterflies, supporting their entire life cycle from egg to caterpillar. Tough and adaptable, it thrives in sunny naturalized areas and meadows, where it can spread and create essential habitat.
This locally sourced Connecticut native ecotype is grown from seed collected right here in the region.
